New private cloud service offers the right forward-thinking mix of agility and customization
SHERBROOKE, QC, January 21, 2014 — SherWeb, a long-time leading provider of cloud services and Microsoft’s 2013 World Hosting Partner of the Year, announced today that it has expanded its SharePoint offering to include SharePoint private cloud hosting services.
The announcement will particularly appeal to the growing number of mid and large-sized businesses seeking to leverage the rapid agility of a cloud deployment and that also require greater control, customization and integration options than what is offered by multi-tenant solutions such as Office 365 (SharePoint Online).
On-premise SharePoint environments are often marred by long, expensive deployments that can easily go wrong. But cloud adopters have been reluctant to migrate their SharePoint due to a loss of configuration control. SherWeb’s private cloud offering could soon change this trend: the company is offering both managed (SaaS) and unmanaged (PaaS) plans with unlimited scalability and customization, along with guaranteed deployment in less than two business days.
“Virtually every mid-sized and low-end large business today needs a stable email and collaboration platform, but many lack the in-house expertise and infrastructure needed to guarantee a high level of availability, performance and security,” said Simon Langlois, SharePoint Product Manager at SherWeb. “In developing our dedicated SharePoint server solution, we made reliability our top priority, and we back it with the industry’s most robust SLAs by guaranteeing not only our infrastructure and network, but also SharePoint availability itself.”
“My firm partnered with SherWeb several months ago because we determined that they were the most reliable choice in hosting services. Combining their solution with our professional services enabled us to rapidly deploy a tailored and high-performing SharePoint platform for our client, a leading construction firm in Alberta, Canada. SherWeb has proven to be responsive to all of the client’s needs and the client is already generating ROI from the solution,” said Mo Al-Borno, Principal, Alborno Consulting.
Businesses interested in learning more about the many benefits and options in reselling and/or deploying SharePoint in the Cloud are invited to join an informational webinar taking place on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at 2:00pm EST. Topics to be discussed are Microsoft’s strategy and orientation for SharePoint, the benefits of SharePoint Private Cloud and a case study on how SherWeb’s SharePoint private cloud services are already helping businesses improve agility and control. The speakers will be Nathan Soussan (Microsoft), Simon Langlois (SherWeb) and Mo Al-Borno (CMA Consulting).
SherWeb’s new private cloud offering is available for the Foundation, Standard and Enterprise editions of Microsoft SharePoint 2013. The long-time SharePoint hosting provider also offers hybrid solutions for companies that need dedicated servers but can share SQL servers, as well as fully-managed SharePoint 2010 and 2013 multi-tenant cloud solutions. SherWeb offers migration service with all plans; it currently hosts over 10,000 SharePoint websites worldwide and migrates more than 50 businesses each month.
