2024 was a year of growth and opportunity at Sherweb with new launches and initiatives to help our partners thrive. The year may be winding down, but we aren’t. Sherweb is working hard behind the scenes to bring our partners lots of exciting new products, services and helpful resources in the first quarter of 2025. From acquisitions to new security launches and helping MSPs with AI readiness, it’s been a big year at Sherweb.

Acquisition and expansion of Sherweb’s operations

Sherweb acquired MicroWarehouse

Among our most exciting news of the year is Sherweb’s recently acquisition of MicroWarehouse, a prominent player in the Irish cloud market. MicroWarehouse is the leading Irish distributor of IT products in Ireland, committed to delivering high-quality technology solutions to its customers. With a comprehensive portfolio of products and a strong distribution network, MicroWarehouse is dedicated to meeting the evolving needs of the Irish market.  This latest acquisition reinforces Sherweb’s commitment to becoming the global cloud marketplace of choice for MSPs.

Office opening in Southeast Asia

Sherweb’s continuing global expansion also includes our offices. Although the majority of our team is based in North America, we opened an office in India this year. We’re excited to expand our global talent pool in the coming year across Europe and Asia.

Launch and enhancements of Sherweb’s self-service portal

Sherweb launched its self-service portal this year. A self-service portal is a web-based platform that allows an MSP’s end-clients to manage their cloud services independently. In October, we also introduced new personalization features to our self-service portal which allow you to tailor the experience for each client based on their unique needs.

AI products and readiness were top of mind

AI products and readiness were a focus for Sherweb this year. We kicked off the year with the launch of Copilot in the self-service portal this year and recently added Copilot deployments to our suite of professional services.

To support MSPs in the launch of Copilot services in their business, we held a series of webinars about selling Copilot early in the year and we recently released a three-part series on adding AI readiness as a service to your business. These webinars are available on our events page.

Alongside AI implementation must come security. That’s why we launched our security checklist for Copilot and added PurpleAI to our marketplace. We will continue to support MSPs in the transition to an AI-driven workplace in the coming year.

Security, backup and compliance were also a focus

Cybersecurity is an increasingly important facet of running an MSP business and conducting business in general. AI makes a robust cybersecurity foundation even more urgent. Sherweb added several providers this year with a security focus.

We started strong with backup and disaster recovery from Veeam and expanded our Veeam offerings a few months ago. Endpoint protection with SentinelOne joined the Sherweb marketplace shortly after. Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud joined Sherweb as a comprehensive cybersecurity solution in autumn and we’ve closed out the year with password security product Keeper Security and Wasabi’s affordable and secure cloud storage.

But we’re more than a cloud marketplace, which is why we launched our MSP’s guide to cyber insurance. To help you better protect your clients and add additional revenue streams into your business.
