This sophisticated system is installed within the periphery of SherWeb's network in order to ensure the availability of your systems and the protection of your strategic resources against known, emergent and encrypted threats like Distributed Denial of Service.

The IPS uses patented techniques of prevention for securing the network and the servers against threats, in real time and in the most precise way.

To protect the network, the traffic is inspected in order:

SherWeb chose the award-winning TopLayer IPS to deliver a non-disruptive protection against risks and losses associated with cyber threats and network attacks.

We deployed Toplayer's IPS on the entire network so an infected server won't affect the others. Our 24/7 monitoring process has been adapted: Top Layer's Intrusion Response Engine includes a built-in real-time Security Event Viewer that allows us to drill down and identify attackers, victims, and types of attacks. So when the lights go red we take immediate action to block or mitigate the threat. In addition, SherWeb adapted TopLayer's log formats to integrate the IPS with our existing security event management tools.
